The Via de la Plata is a very solitary route. On my first journey in 2009, I spent much of the walking time deepening my own spiritual practice with walking meditation and by listening to talks by the Buddhist monk Pema Chodron on my iPod.
This time (2012), I’d like to carry the thoughts and prayers of others, for others as I walk my 1000 kilometer pilgrimage. If there’s someone for whom you’d like a blessing or a prayer carried, leave your words in the comment section below. (Your comments will be visible publicly, unless you specifically ask me to keep it private.)
I will keep your prayers, thoughts or wishes in my mind as I walk, and bring them to the feet of Saint James the Apostle in Santiago de Compostela. Haiku is welcome!
